You are advised to manually check for spelling errors as the spell checker offer by most software are not the best. The prospective employer has to look at numerous resumes per day and if yours is not up to standard, most likely yours will be ignored immediately. You should not include humor in your resume unless you can reliably predict who the reader is likely to be and how they'll react.
