The sense of discomfort that accompanies these experiences is common nowadays and may be difficult to avoid or manage. Where they are the need to stay competitive or in an environment that required constant changes, there is more churn. Depending on how you view this issue, it could be a good and bad thing for employees.

The three factors that should be considered are the economic cycle, the employee qualifications and the job vacancy of the industry. You should try not to take calls on your office phone, especially if you share a space or sit in an open-office environment and instead do so from a pay phone. There will be problems and challenges that you will face from time-to-time in your career. However, instead of being afraid and escape from it, you should look at ways to solve the problems. Remember every problem provide an invaluable experience.

The challenges you face should help widen your array of skills and to deal with the challenges requires resourcefulness on your part. Even if you face some problem on the way you cannot solved, you should do some research on your own or interact with more experienced colleagues for guidance and solutions.

It is important that you have your own career goals since without one is like a ship without a rudder. You will be blown off course by the slightest breeze when you encounter problems if you don't have a clear vision. You will become stall and stagnate and become an easy prey for downsizing.

Do not offend anyone by bad-mouthing your present employer, former employer or others. Don't be a complainer but instead try to be a problem solver. No one owes you a living and it is the responsibility that you keep yourself employable by constantly upgrading and improving yourself.

You should not discuss the possibility of switching jobs with anyone you knew at your company even if they are your best buddies and sworn they will not betray you. You never know where they would spill out the true when deciding whether to be your confidante or a faithful corporate snitch.
