How To Choose Your Ideal Career

The economy is recovering, now it has been easy to find any job you want, however to find the right one which you love, it takes patience, luck and determination. The career choice you decided to embark on will determine your future, how happy and successful you are and the outcomes of your life whether or not you live a good, bad or indifferent lives.

If you are want a career that will brings a smile to your face but do not know how that what the career might be, you should ask your inner self and then gave it time to think and it will gave you the answer you wanted. Nowadays, it is common for people to make career changes at least once or more in their lifetimes.

Not many young teenagers would sit down and consider which jobs they loved or managed to find a perfect career for themselves that they would work for the rest of their lives. Many of them simple followed the rat race and as long as they are jobs available and pay well, they would work.

With rapid changes of technology and everything, it will be ridiculous to assume anyone would be safe from retrenchment and can stay on a job for the long term. Unfortunately most of us are so comfortable with our current job that we will be taken back and unprepared to look for a new job if we found out we have been retrenched or other factors.

It can be a frustrating and frustrating experience if you look for a job but without any success for a prolong periods. However you must never gave up and keeps going. You should have a focus and the list of employers you can contact.

You may ask yourself this positive question, "If I could do anything at all, what would it be?" By asking you the following question will help you get an idea which career to pursue first.

However asking is not enough, you need to write it down so that you can see it visually. You should make a list of everything and anything you enjoy doing and are passionate about. You don't have to worry about what can be add or cannot, just add all that came to your mind like playing Lego, planning projects, or programming in Cobol, etc.

Write down everything you can think of, no matter how ridiculous or pointless it may be. They are important and must be added. Once you done that, you can start create a list of career you have ever thought of working in and would enjoy it since you were young. 

After you have finalized it, refer back to all your lists and cross off the career that will drove you crazy or you couldn't stand doing. Ask yourself, "Which one would I enjoy doing for 8 hours and which one I would feel boring straight away?" and "Which one of them I am most passionate about?" 

By doing the above exercise, you can then customize your resume to reflect the required skills you have. By taking time and efforts to know what you enjoy doing, you can look at applying that quality to your live and job to improve your happiness. 

Take for example, you like peace and tranquility but your job is hectic, you should take time out for relaxation by walking in the park, mediate, listening to smoothing music, etc. Or you can switch off your phone when you are having your lunch break.
